Garden design and new plantings
A well-designed garden improves every year: crowns spread, shade falls where it is needed, the right plants ask for little water and little care. Designing it as an agronomist means starting from what decides success — soil, water, climate, the needs of each species — and following it from the first drawing to establishment.
At a glance
What we design. Gardens of villas and residences, parks of condominiums and residential complexes, green spaces for hospitality venues, wineries and companies, squares, avenues and public parks, urban forestation areas and new tree plantings.
With whom. Private and institutional clients, condominium administrators, companies, and architects and engineers who want an agronomist on their design team.
What you receive. Site analysis, a project with drawings and report, a species list with nursery-stock specifications, bill of quantities and specifications, site supervision, survival report and acceptance, and a care plan for the following years.
Do you have a project in mind?
Write to me with who you are, where the site is, how large it is and what you imagine; if you have plans or photos, attach them. If you prefer, let's talk on the phone.

The trees already there. Before drawing, we assess what exists: which trees to keep and enhance, which to accompany towards replacement, which root zones to protect during works. A large healthy tree is the most valuable element of any project.
Soil and water. Soil analysis, drainage, water availability and irrigation designed together with the plants, not afterwards. In a warming Mediterranean climate, water is budgeted from day one.
The right species. Species chosen for the site and for the climate to come: exposure, shade, drought, waterlogging, room for roots and for the mature crown. This way the garden grows without constant pruning and without replacements.

From design to establishment
- Site visit and survey: existing conditions, existing trees, soil, water, constraints.
- Concept: the idea of the garden shared with the client, with alternatives and their construction and care costs.
- Project: drawings, technical report, species list with sizes and nursery-stock characteristics, bill of quantities and specifications. For public green spaces, compliant with the Italian Minimum Environmental Criteria (Ministerial Decree 63/2020).
- Site supervision: checking plants on delivery, workmanlike planting — planting pit, staking, root collar, mulching — and the building site.
- Acceptance: survival report at the start of the season and a guarantee on plants until final acceptance, as the Minimum Environmental Criteria require for public supplies.
- Care plan: irrigation, formative pruning, inspections, for the first years and beyond.

Recent work
Residential park, Salerno, 2025-2026. The path began with the stability assessment of the park’s trees — cedars, eucalyptus and other large species — with conservation and replacement choices reasoned tree by tree. Then the redesign of nine flowerbeds: survey, drawings for each bed, species selection, plant purchase list, presentation to the residents’ meeting and final report. A single design holding together the existing trees and the new planting.
Frequently asked questions
Why an agronomist to design a garden?
Because a garden’s success depends on soil, water, climate and plant physiology: the agronomist’s subject. Design matters, and it is built on these foundations; the Studio is glad to work in a team with architects and landscape designers.
Do you also follow the construction?
Yes: site supervision, checking plants on delivery, planting and acceptance of establishment are part of the service. The client entrusts the works to the contractor of their choice, also on the Studio’s specifications.
Do you work on large areas and public projects?
Yes: parks, avenues, squares, school grounds, urban forestation areas, including as the agronomic part of integrated projects with engineering and architecture firms. See also the Public and urban green spaces page.
Can existing trees be kept during the works?
Almost always, if the site respects root zones and the project’s prescriptions. It is one of the first things the project establishes.
Where do you work?
Throughout Campania and nearby areas within about two hours of Salerno: the Potenza area, Vallo di Diano, southern Lazio.
